Paul Goldschmidt was traded by the Arizona Diamondbacks to the St. Louis Cardinals. In return, the Diamondbacks get pitcher Luke Weaver, infielder Andrew Young, catcher Carson Kelly, and a 2019 draft pick. The six-time All-Star first baseman had spent all of his eight major league seasons with the D-backs after being selected in the 8th round of the 2009 draft.
