The Vanderbilt Commodores are mourning the loss of tight end Turner Cockrell, who died yesterday after a battle with cancer. The 21-year-old was diagnosed with melanoma last year and missed all of this season while undergoing treatment. The team wore his jersey number-82 sticker on their helmet all season.
