Gary Haddock works final day

Christian Circuit Court Gary Haddock worked his final day in that capacity after 25 years of service Thursday as he enters retirement.

Haddock spoke to WHOP News in his cleaned out office Thursday morning, saying the interaction with the public and his staff is what he will miss most.

The justice system has changed a lot with technology over the last quarter-century and Haddock says it’s been for the best.

Haddock says he’s enjoyed working with all of the judges and other court officials who have come and gone during his tenure.

Most of all, Haddock says the position gave him an opportunity to assist people who came to his office needing help.

Circuit Court Clerk-Elect Paige Parker will be sworn in Friday at 1:30 p.m. at the Christian County Justice Center. She will serve out the remainder of Haddock’s unexpired term and then begin her first full term in January.
