Pennyrile Electric’s Board of Directors has selected a new President and CEO from inside the cooperative.
According to a news release, Alan Gates was selected to serve in the position Tuesday morning. He most recently filled the role of Vice President of Operations and Technical Services and has held several positions since his hiring as an engineering aide in 1989.
Board Chair Jimmy Futrell says, “We knew, with the strength of our internal employees, we could find our next CEO from within the cooperative. Alan has been instrumental in several positive changes the cooperative has made over his years of employment. We are confident in his ability to lead the cooperative in the years ahead.”
