Western Kentucky advanced to the championship game of the Myrtle Beach Invitational following a 63-57 win over West Virginia last night. The Hilltoppers had four players in double figures led by Tavieon Hollingsworth and Charles Bassey who each had 13 points. Elsewhere last night: Murray State set several records in its 106-36 win over Spalding University at the CFSB Center. The Racers had five players in double figures led by Ja Morant’s 18 points. Murray State is back in action next Saturday night hosting Missouri State.
The University of Louisville eased by Vermont 86-78 in the NIT Season Tip Off. Jordan Nwora came off the bench to lead the Cardinals with 22 points. U of L is back in action against Tennessee next Wednesday in the NIT Season Tip Off.
Vanderbilt was a 79-54 winner over Alcorn State in the Commodore Classic. Vandy returns to action Monday night hosting Liberty University.
