A search involving personnel from multiple agencies ended Friday morning when the body of missing hunter, 55-year old Samuel Loy, was located.
The Christian County Coroner’s Office was called to the scene and Emergency Management Director Randy Graham said an investigation was underway to determine exactly what happened. Sheriff Livy Leavell says there does not appear to be any signs of foul play.
Graham says Loy’s body was located about 300 yards from where his jacket was found Thursday in a wooded area near the 6500 block of Lafayette Road.
Loy had gone hunting Thursday morning and his family reported him missing just before 5 p.m. when he hadn’t returned home.
Several law enforcement and first responder agencies from multiple counties assisted in the search.
