Austin Peay played its opening game in the Jamaica Classic and fell to South Florida 74-70 in overtime last night. Bowling Green native Terry Taylor had a big night with 21 points and 12 rebounds with Zach Glotta pitching in 15. The Governors are back in action Friday night meeting Central Connecticut in Montego Bay.
Meanwhile, Austin Peay’s women played at Vanderbilt and were drubbed 99-70. The Governors return to action tomorrow night hosting Trevecca at 7 in the Dunn Center.
Tonight’s games: SEC action includes 5th ranked Tennessee welcoming Georgia Tech. Louisville entertains Southern.
Women’s action: Murray State plays at Butler and Western Kentucky entertains 13th ranked Iowa.
