Murray State had two players receive Ohio Valley Conference weekly honors Sunday. The game, billed as the “Miracle in Murray” saw the Racers overcome a 31 point deficit to upset ranked Southeast Missouri thanks to Malik Honeycutt’s 79 yard kickoff return for a touchdown with 20 seconds left. The Tallahassee, FL native was named Specialist of the Week.
Meanwhile, quarterback Drew Anderson shook off a poor first half in the win over Southeast Missouri and received Co-Offensive and Newcomer of the Week honors. Anderson threw for 412 yards and four touchdowns after throwing three interceptions and having a fumble in the opening half.
