Hopkinsville Mayor Carter Hendricks defeated three opponents to earn a second four-year term to lead the city.
Hendricks finished with about 61 percent of the vote; Democrat Jason McCraw had 20 percent, Wally Bryan 16 percent and Walter Shamble just under 3 percent.
Mayor Hendricks says he hopes to build on positive momentum the city already has.
Bryan, a former two-term mayor, says he’ll support Hendricks in any way he can.
McCraw, a former city councilman, tells WHOP news he doesn’t anticipate ever making another run for political office.
