Middle Tennessee ended a losing streak to Western Kentucky in winning 29-10 last night in Murfreesboro. WKU senior quarterback Drew Eckels returned from injury to start at quarterback and threw for 195 yards and added 14 yards on the ground. In the third quarter on a non-contact scramble, Eckels went down with injury and sophomore quarterback Steven Duncan appeared in relief.
On his first play of the game, Duncan connected with junior receiver Lucky Jackson for a 46-yard touchdown strike, the Hilltoppers only touchdown score of the game. WKU rushed for 109 yards on 25 carries and threw for 270 on 16-of-47 passing. The Hilltoppers return to action next Saturday at Florida Atlantic.
