Hopkinsville will have a chance to dust off the bowling gear, as Southern Lanes will open their doors for a soft opening of the newly renovated bowling alley on Canton Pike Friday.
Speaking with WHOP News, owner Don Litten says they’ve been renovating the building that was once First Frame Bowling and he feels it will be a good thing for the community. He says Friday will be a soft opening for area bowling leagues and the public followed by ‘cosmic bowling’ in the evening.
He says people will see a difference when they enter, and soon they’ll offer mini-golf, an arcade and more.
Litten says they will continue to host leagues. Before it was First Frame Bowling, the lanes were known as Indian Hills Bowling Center. The owners—who also own a Southern Lanes in Bowling Green—hope to have an official grand opening sometime in December after more of the renovations are completed.
The doors will open to the public at 5 p.m. Friday with league bowling beginning at 6:20.
