First round play at the KHSAA State Tournament at Valley High School in Louisville saw 2nd region winner Henderson County defeat Letcher County Central three sets to none. Greenwood defeated Rowan County 3-0 and McCracken County was a 3-0 winner over Corbin. 3rd region winner Breckinridge County fell to Mercy 3-0.
In quarterfinal action this morning, Greenwood faces Mercy at 9 am Central time, McCracken County meets St. Henry at 10:30 am and Henderson County goes against Assumption at noon with Southwestern and Campbell County playing at 1:30. The quarterfinal winners will meet in the semifinals this evening with the championship match tomorrow afternoon.
