The first college football game to be played in Hopkinsville takes place this afternoon at the Stadium of Champions. The FE Whitney Classic has the Kentucky State Thorobreds meeting the Lane College Dragons. Kentucky State, led by Coach John L. Smith is 0-8 on the season while Lane College is 2-5. Kickoff is at 2 pm with the gates opening at 12 noon.
