Todd Co. grand jury indicts suspects for burglary, bigamy, drugs

The Todd County Grand Jury indicted a Clarksville man for bigamy and others on drug and burglary-related charges when it met Friday in regular session.

An indictment alleges that 49-year old Christian McKenzie was still married on February 29th, 2016 when he entered into a new marriage with a different woman.

He’s also charged for second-degree forgery, as he signed a document at the time of the new marriage saying he was divorced from the previous wife.

Meanwhile, the grand jury indicted 25-year old Thomas Wayne Gates of Allensville on numerous charges including burglary, theft, fleeing or evading police, criminal mischief and for being a persistent felony offender. He was arrested last month by Guthrie Police following a foot pursuit and investigation by the Todd County Sheriff’s Department determined him to have allegedly committed burglaries at Trenton Farm Supply and at a farm shop on Coal Bank Road.

Joshua Colwell and Heather Ballard were indicted for forgery and for being persistent felony offenders; Gabriel Scott for trafficking methamphetamine, DUI and wanton endangerment; and Stacy Botts for several charges including DUI, meth possession and being a persistent felony offender.
