A Tennessee man was shot during a robbery attempt Monday afternoon in Hopkinsville.
The victim, 23-year old Tyriq Saafir of Murfreesboro, told Hopkinsville Police that an unknown suspect attempted to take items from him with a handgun in the area of Hayes and Mechanic Street.
Saafir was shot in the hand by the suspect and sought treatment on his own at Jennie Stuart Medical Center.
No description of the suspect is listed on the police report.
