Fort Campbell soldier shot and killed, spouse arrested

A Fort Campbell soldier was shot and killed Sunday night on post and the spouse has been arrested.

According to a news release from Fort Campbell officials, all gates on post were closed for approximately an hour while military police investigated a shooting in on-post housing. It was a determined that a soldier had been shot, which resulted in their death and the spouse was taken into custody.

The names of those involved have not yet been released. The incident is under investigation by U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Command and the FBI.
