A man was killed in an accident involving a car and a tractor Monday night in Todd County.
The incident happened about 7 p.m. in the 2300 block of Old Railroad Lane. Todd County Coroner Timothy Wells identified the victim as 68-year old Aden Coblentz of Dr. Boyles Road, Guthrie and said he had been driving the tractor southbound when a northbound car driven by 37-year old Maurice Smith of Allensville struck its wheel.
Coblentz was ejected from the tractor and was pronounced dead at the scene.
An occupant of the car was reportedly taken to a local hospital for treatment of injuries.
Kentucky State Police is investigating the incident with the assistance of the Todd County Sheriff’s Department.
