Lane restrictions along I-24 over next several days

Motorists on I-24 will likely see some lane restrictions in Christian and Caldwell counties over the next several days.

A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has restricted I-24 eastbound traffic to one lane near the 56 mile marker in Caldwell County and near the 92 mile marker in Christian County for concrete pavement repairs. That work zone is expected to be in place through much of the weekend.

Once work is completed along the eastbound lanes, the contractor will switch to the I-24 westbound lanes in Christian County between the 91 and 80 mile marker for concrete pavement repairs. Work at this site is expected to take about 5 to 10 days.

Appropriate caution is required where equipment, flaggers, and other personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow.

All of the work is weather permitting.
