CSX Railroad will be closing a section of Bradshaw Road in Hopkinsville starting either Wednesday or Thursday depending on work completion at other locations.
According to a news release, the closure was originally planned for Tuesday, but has been pushed back due to additional work that was required at different locations. Bradshaw Road will close near the 10 mile marker between Pembroke Road and at U.S. 68 to allow for rail work through a crossing. The closure is expected to take place around 7 a.m. and will remain closed for two or three days.
There will be no marked detour. Local access will be maintained on each side of the closure. Once work is completed on Bradshaw, CSX plans rail crossing work at various locations through Hopkinsville in the coming weeks.
