Governor Matt Bevin has appointed former state Representative Kenny Imes to serve as Calloway County Judge Executive.
According to a news release, Imes’ appointment is effective immediately until the position is filled in accordance with the results of the November election. Imes had served as state Representative for seven-terms, serving Calloway and Trigg counties, and has announced he is resigning from that seat. He also formerly served as a Kentucky Natural Resources Cabinet Commissioner and Deputy Secretary, Department of Agriculture Director, and Calloway County Magistrate.
Imes says, “I have devoted all of my adult life to serving others, both as a funeral director and public servant in state and local government. It is truly an honor and a privilege to continue that service to my fellow Calloway Countians as their Judge-Executive.”
