Planters Bank kicking off ‘Season of Giving’

Planters Bank is kicking off its ‘Season of Giving’ in western Kentucky and middle Tennessee.

A news release says that over the course of the next few months, the bank’s social media and in-branch giving campaign will support twelve local non-profit agencies.

During Season of Giving, Planters Bank works with local companies to private label items.  After the bank purchases those items, 100 percent of the proceeds from the sale of the items in each Planters Bank location go to the non-profit agency supported by that branch.

This year, Planters Bank has partnered with Clarksville-based Delectable Sweets to offer Mango Pineapple Habanero jam and Strawberry Jalapeño jam, and Kuttawa-based Broadbent’s for Hickory Smoked Country Bacon.

There will also be ways to help raise money for the non-profit agencies on the Planters Bank Facebook and Twitter pages.

Sanctuary, Inc., the Museums of Historic Hopkinsville-Christian County, Junior Auxiliary and the Dawson Springs Educational Foundation are among agencies supported this year.
