The Milwaukee Brewers scored in each of the last four innings to pull out a 6-4 win over the St. Louis Cardinals at Busch Stadium. The win ensures Milwaukee will leave St. Louis later this week with the top Wild Card spot. The teams meet again this evening.
The Pittsburgh Pirates beat the Chicago Cubs 5-1 at Wrigley Field. Cole Hamels was charged with three runs in six innings for the loss. Hamels’ belted a solo homer in the third for Chicago’s lone run. The Cubs’ magic number to clinch the NL Central remains at five. The teams meet again tonight.
