Grissom resigns as Pennyrile Electric President and CEO

Pennyrile Electric will soon begin the search for a new president and CEO, as Greg Grissom resigns to accept a position in Paducah.

According to a news release, Grissom announced his resignation Tuesday at a board of directors meeting. He has accepted a position as President and CEO of Jackson Purchase Energy in Paducah.  Grissom has served as President at Pennyrile Electric for three years.

Board Chair Jimmy Futrell says, “As we will begin the search process for a new CEO, we thank Greg for his time at Pennyrile Electric and wish him the best in his new position at Jackson Purchase. With our strong management team and staff, our member-owners can be assured, there will be no interruption in the cost-effective and reliable service they are accustomed to.”

The Board of Directors named Vice President of Operations and Technical Services Alan Gates as interim president until the position can be filled.
