The Hoptown Harvest Festival gets underway Thursday night at Riverside Cemetery with the popular Supper in the Cemetery.
Convention and Visitor’s Bureau Director Brooke Jung appeared on WHOP to speak about the event, hinting that she could even be playing one of “dearly departed” who will visit with attendees Thursday at 5 p.m.
She says it’s a unique way to honor those who had an impact on the community who have gone before us and tickets are still available.
Jung says the rest of the festival follows the next two days with the big outdoor mashoree taking place from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. Saturday.
The event is meant to celebrate agriculture and agri-tourism in the community. For Supper in the Cemetery, boxed suppers are $20 for the general public and $15 for museum members. Tickets for the Farm to Table Dinner at $53 per person. For more information, call 270-887-4270.
