Madisonville man injured in accident

A rear-end collision involving a disabled vehicle Tuesday morning in Madisonville injured a Madisonville man.

It happened about 7:30 a.m. and a news release from the Madisonville Police Department says 42-year old Robin Justice of Earlington had run out of gas on South Main Street and 65-year old Edward Davis of Madisonville pulled in behind him to assist.

Approaching from behind was 71-year old Allen Woodruff of Madisonville, who said he briefly looked away from the road and that there wasn’t time to stop when he looked back up.

He rear-ended Davis’ pickup, pushing it into the rear of Justice’s vehicle.

Woodruff was taken by ambulance to Baptist Health Hospital for treatment of injuries.
