Thursday marks three years since murder of Trooper Ponder

Thursday marks three years since State Trooper Cameron Ponder was shot to death on the side of I-24 in Lyon County and the anniversary will be marked in two ways.

There will be a wreath-laying at 6 p.m. at the flag pole near the 49 mm of I-24 and anyone wanting show their respects is welcome to attend.

Meanwhile at 10 a.m. in Frankfort Thursday, Brenda Tiffany—Trooper Ponder’s mother—will present Kentucky State Police Commissioner Rick Sanders with a grant check from Spirit of Blue Foundation to equip all KSP troopers and CVE officers with tourniquets and duty belt cases.
