After well over a year of renovations and preparation, the Todd County Health Department will move into its new building on West Main Street in Elkton Tuesday.
The building was formerly the Todd County Water District and it’s located just east of Dairy Queen. A significant addition has been built onto the structure and Director Jen Harris says the new space will allow for new programs with a focus on wellness.
She says the larger building will also allow for more privacy for their clients.
There’s also much-needed space for meetings and other functions at the new location.
The old health department on McReynolds Drive was designated recently by the Board of Health as the Todd County Health Department Annex.
