A Christian County Road Department mowing crew discovered what appeared to be a hand grenade on Carter Road near Oak Grove shortly before 9 a.m., but it turned out to be a toy.
The Christian County Sheriff’s Department, Oak Grove Police and Christian County Emergency Management Director Randy Graham went to the location near the I-24 bridge and Graham says they were able to determine the item that looked dangerous was actually plastic.
