The Tennessean reports Vanderbilt has suspended defensive back Zaire Jones. The sophomore from Meridian, MS was arrested August 23rd on a charge of assault with a deadly weapon. Investigators say Jones allegedly struck an off duty police officer at a traffic barricade with his car. Vandy coach Derek Mason says Jones will not play Saturday against Middle Tennessee and has been suspended indefinitely while the facts of the arrest are being investigated.
