A man is facing DUI and wanton endangerment charges after his vehicle left Greenville Road and struck a natural gas line Tuesday afternoon.

It happened about 2:45 p.m. and Christian County Sheriff’s Captain Chris Miller says 60-year old Ronnie McGehee of Belton had been northbound in the 8000 block of Greenville Road when his vehicle left the pavement and flipped.

It struck an Atmos Energy gas line, causing it to rupture, before coming to rest in the front yard of a residence. Personnel from Atmos came to the scene and shut off the gas.

McGehee sustained only minor injuries and was arrested for DUI and three counts of first-degree wanton endangerment.
