Hopkinsville Public Works will be milling and paving several streets in the city starting Friday, so motorists should be on the lookout for work zones.
According to a news release, work will begin Friday morning on North Elm Street from Glass Avenue to Means Avenue and if time allows, on Faulkner Street from Canton Pike to Starling Street. All work is weather permitting and will run until complete.
Motorists are urged to use appropriate caution where workers and equipment will be close to traffic. Residents that use on street parking are asked to relocate those vehicles to accommodate equipment.
Citizens are also reminded that multiple streets downtown closed Thursday afternoon in preparation for the Summer Salute festival.
