Shots fired investigated at Woodland Heights Apartments

The Christian County Sheriff’s Department investigated a report of shots fired Tuesday morning at the Woodland Heights Apartment Complex on Greenville Road.

Evans Jackson told Sgt. James Dragoo that he had been driving through the complex about 2:45 a.m. looking for his wife when he was approached by a man who yelled at him and asked what he was doing. The man told the Jackson he was scaring his wife by driving around and that’s when Jackson and his passenger exited their vehicle.

The man who stopped them then brandished a firearm and fired a shot in their direction, causing them to flee the scene.

The victims did not report the incident until several hours later and a report says deputies located a spent shell casing on a sidewalk.

The shooter is described on the report as a black male between 40 and 50 years old with a slender build and waves in his hair. He was wearing a black button-up shirt and tan shorts.
