Woman hurt after car hits deer

A vehicle versus deer accident on Butler Road Friday afternoon injured a passenger.

It happened about 1:30 p.m., according to the report from Christian County Sheriff’s Deputy Eddie Frye, which says 33-year old Susan Johnson of Hopkinsville was headed south when the deer ran out of a wooded area into her path and she was unable to avoid a collision.

A passenger, 79-year old Betty Latham of Hopkinsville, was taken by EMS to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment of injuries.
