Two men with long criminal histories were arrested again Monday morning in Clarksville.

A news release says 24-year old Gavin Ray Oliver of Clarksville was observed by witnesses entering an unlocked car in the parking lot of the Wilma Rudolph Boulevard Walmart about 4 a.m.

They called police and Oliver allegedly gave officers a false name and had someone else’s identification. He was served with a warrant for probation violation and is facing additional counts of burglary of a vehicle, criminal impersonation and theft of property.

Another man, identified as 27-year old Jacob Scott Knight of Clarksville, was with Oliver and was also arrested. He’s facing charges of theft of property, possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Police say both men have lengthy histories of being on the wrong side of the law.
