Crews from Pennyrile Electric have greatly reduced the number of members without power this morning after about 6,000 were in the dark in Christian County at one time.
Brent Gilkey with Pennyrile says it all started when a transmission line went down.
The remaining members without power are north of Hopkinsville and Gilkey says they’re working on it.
Gilkey says it’s not known what caused the line to fall.
