The Ohio Valley Conference Media Day took place in Nashville today. For the fifth straight year, Jacksonville State is the pick of the league’s coaches and sports information directors to win the league.
Austin Peay is picked second with UT Martin third followed by Eastern Illinois and Eastern Kentucky fifth. Tennessee State is sixth, Southeast Missouri is seventh, Murray State eighth and Tennessee Tech ninth.
Austin Peay quarterback Jeremiah Oatsvall was named to the preseason All OVC First team along with Governors offensive guard Ryan Rockenseuss and offensive tackle Kyle Anderton.
Austin Peay defensive lineman Jaison Williams and Murray State defensive lineman Kenney Wooten were named to the preseason All OVC First team along with Austin Peay linebacker Gunnar Scholato.
Murray State kicker Gabriel Vicente was also named to the First team.
