Report: Man used tombstones to get SUV unstuck in cemetery

The Christian County Sheriff’s Department is investigating after a man used tombstones to get his vehicle out of the mud in a graveyard near Crofton last week.

Lary Kestner told Deputy Andy Sanderson that a black SUV became stuck in a deep rut at Kestner Cemtery on J Knight Road while attempting to turn around.

The driver got out of his vehicle and removed two headstones and placed them in the rut to get his SUV unstuck.

He broke both headstones getting out of the cemetery and fled the scene prior to police arrival.

The driver is described as a white male, standing approximately 6-4 and weighing approximately 260 pounds.
