The Hopkinsville City Amateur Golf Tournament will be held on July 28th and 29th. Saturday will be at Western Hills and Sunday will be at Hopkinsville Golf & Country Club. Anyone residing in Christian Co or a member of Western Hills or HGCC is eligible to play in the division in which they qualify. All golfers will receive two round of golf with a cart, two sleeves of Titleist Pro V1 golf balls and the first 60 to sign up receive a Planters Bank City Amateur cap.
Divisions
1. OPEN Division..Everyone is eligible for this division: however you must declare of this division if you are eligible for another division. Other than the HANDICAP Division, You cannot play in two divisions at one time. Jr’s 18 & under will be placed in the Open division but will be competing with others in their age group for low Jr.
OPEN Division golfers will use Blue tees in the Open division at both courses.
2. SENIOR Division..Open to all golfers 50 and over. White tees will be used on both courses.
3. SUPER SENIOR..Open to those golfers 65 and older. Green tees will be used.
4. WOMEN’S OPEN Division…Open to all women golfers. Green tees at both courses
5. SENIOR WOMEN’S Division..Open to women golfers 50 and over. Forward tees to be played
6. HANDICAP Division.. This is open to golfers with a GHIN handicap and will include all flights participating as one. there will be a separate Handicap Division for women.
PRIZES: Typical flight prizes are $150 gift certificate for 1st, $100 for 2nd,and $75 for 3rd. However no flight shall receive a numbers of prizes equal to more than half they number for players in that flight. exp. if a flight has less than six then only two prizes will be awarded in that flight.Prizes will be awarded after all the participants in their flight are finished. Trophies for 1st place and runner up will also be given in each flight.
TEE TIMES: Tee times can be made up until 1 PM on Saturday at Western Hills. Golfers may chose to play with another tournament player in another Division. Tees times for Sunday will be based upon Saturday’s scores.
