Tommy Pham hit the go-ahead, two-run single in the fourth inning as the St. Louis Cardinals rallied past the Cincinnati Reds 6-4. The Cardinals enter the All-Star break at 48-and-46, seven-and-a-half games behind Chicago in the NL Central while the Reds are last in the Central at 43-and-53.
Elsewhere in the National League: Anthony Rizzo had an RBI and scored two runs as the Chicago Cubs knocked off the San Diego Padres 7-4. The Cubs swept the Padres and head into the All-Star break with the best record in the NL Central at 55-and-38.
Dansby Swanson’s RBI-double jump started a four-run third inning as the Atlanta Braves beat the Arizona Diamondbacks 5-1 at SunTrust Park. The Braves enter the All-Star break at 52-and-42, just a half-game behind Philadelphia for the NL East lead.
