Sen. Paul discusses alleged Russian meddling

Senator Rand Paul says he is not interested in holding the Russian Federation responsible for meddling in the 2016 presidential election.

The Bowling Green Republican says instead of pushing to hold the Russian government responsible, lawmakers should work to secure the upcoming elections.

Paul also defends his vote against reaffirming the American commitment to NATO in the Senate this week, saying the commitment complicates relations throughout Europe.

Senator Paul made his comments Sunday on CNN’s State of the Union.
