A disturbance at the Jennie Stuart Medical Center emergency room Sunday morning led to the arrest of a man on drug charges.
Hopkinsville Police Officer Michael Felts was called to the hospital about 4:30 a.m. and found 38-year old Andrew Warfield of Hopkinsville unsteady on his feet and standing next to a vehicle belonging to someone else that he believed to be his.
He had been treated by emergency room staff who found no injuries that would be causing his issues.
An arrest citation says he was obviously under the influence of a substance and he was arrested for public intoxication. A search of his person at the jail allegedly revealed three Alprazolam pills, which is a narcotic.
He was additionally charged with possession of a controlled substance and prescription pills not in the proper container.
