Hopkinsville Police arrested a man for assault early Friday morning after he allegedly threw blood onto nurses at the Jennie Stuart Medical Center emergency room.
Twenty-five year old Martin Lee Hood of Hopkinsville was being treated for consumption of synthetic drugs about 11:45 p.m. Thursday when an arrest citation says he became combative with the staff, pulled out his IV and threw blood on three nurses.
Hood had to be physically restrained until officers arrived and was arrested and charged with third-degree assault of medical personnel.
