There will be an abundance of locations and times to see fireworks in the region this week.
The Elkton-Todd County Park will again host its annual Independence Day celebration and fireworks display Tuesday night. Those festivities will begin with concessions, children’s activities and live music by the Andy Miller Band from 7 until 9 p.m. at Todd County Central High School on South Main Street in Elkton.
Fireworks will go off about 9:15 following the National Anthem. All of those activities are sponsored by B.R. Knuckles Insurance and Heritage Bank.
Fort Campbell’s annual Independence Day carnival, concert and fireworks are set for Wednesday. The concert begins at 6 p.m. on the Division Parade Field on post and fireworks will go off about 9:15 p.m., weather permitting.
A fireworks display sponsored by the City of Hopkinsville will follow the Hoptown Hoppers’ game Wednesday night against the Muhlenberg County Stallions that begins at 6 p.m. at Christian County High School’s Colonel Field.
Country music up-and-comer Raleigh Keegan will take the stage with his band for a free Hoppers pre-game concert from 4 until 6 pm.
Lake Barkley State Resort Park will host its annual fireworks display on the beach after it gets dark Wednesday night.
