This year’s Western Kentucky State Fair boasted the highest attendance of any fair since 2014.
Fair Board President Tony Meacham says 34,719 people attended this year, surpassing last year’s total by 259.
Saturday, June 30th was the biggest night of the fair, with the second evening of the Mid-South tractor pulls in the grandstand and wrestling in the convention center helping to bring 5,800 people through the gates.
It took a little longer than normal to get the final totals this year, as the farm stock tractor pulls scheduled for Thursday night was postponed by weather until Sunday afternoon.
