MLB Roundup

Adam Duvall’s two-run single capped a three-run seventh inning as the Cincinnati Reds rallied for a 6-5 win over the Atlanta Braves. The Reds were able to pull out the win yesterday without first baseman Joey Votto, who was ejected in the first inning for arguing balls and strikes when he struck out. It was the eighth time he’s been tossed in his career. The Reds open a weekend series hosting the Milwaukee Brewers this evening.

Elsewhere in the National League: Kyle Hendricks gave up six runs in the first two innings and the Chicago Cubs never recovered in a 7-5 loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers. The teams conclude the series this afternoon at Dodger Stadium.

Interleague: Jack Flaherty was outdueled by Shane Bieber as the St. Louis Cardinals lost 5-1 to the Cleveland Indians at Busch Stadium. The Cardinals are off today and will open a series with the Atlanta Braves in St. Louis tomorrow night.
