Hoppers, Library teaming up for local Imagination Library

The Hoptown Hoppers and the Hopkinsville-Christian County Public Library are teaming up to help encourage early childhood reading and support the Imagination Library.

According to a news release, the library will attend the Hoppers baseball game scheduled for Thursday to answer questions and sign kids up for the Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. The program serves children across the county by providing one free a book to those 5 years old and younger.

Then on Friday, Hoppers players will attend Story Time at the library at 10:30 a.m. They will also be accompanied by the team mascot, Stitches.

Library Director Deanna Sova says, “We are excited for the Hoppers to spend time at the library reading and interacting with the kids.  We average approximately 20-35 kids for story hour, and we are always appreciative of organizations and volunteer participation.”
