World Golf Hall of Famer Davis Love III has committed to play in the PGA Tour’s Barbasol Championship to be contested July 19-22 at Champions at Keene Trace in Nicholasville. Love will play alongside his son Dru, who received a sponsor’s exemption last week. DL III won the 1997 PGA Championship and has been runner up twice at The Masters and the once at the US Open. He captained the winning US Ryder Cup team in 2016.
Love joins a field which includes two time LPGA major winner Brittany Lincicome, Lexington native Josh Teater and recent UK graduates Chip McDaniel and Cooper Musselman.
