About 1,200 Pennyrile Electric members attended their annual meeting Tuesday night at the Western Kentucky State Fair.
Pennyrile President and CEO Greg Grissom noted that an excellent record of working safely has earned the cooperative the Governor’s Safety and Health Award.
Grissom says the average member will see an increase of about $5 on their bill, beginning later this year.
TVA Customer Service Manager Derrick Miller says that agency partnered with Pennyrile in helping to recruit Novelis to Guthrie—with 125 new jobs coming when the industry opens.
Grissom noted that Pennyrile will be constructing a new substation in southern Todd County in the near future.
