The Henderson Gleaner reports former Henderson County standout David Simmons has departed from Middle Tennessee. Simmons recently made his decision after former coach Kermit Davis left for Ole Miss. Simmons averaged almost 18 minutes per game during his freshman season, playing in 32 contests and made three starts for the Blue Raiders. He averaged 4.7 points and 2.6 rebounds per game. Simmons is early in the process of deciding where he will transfer.
