HPD arrests man for theft, trafficking synthetic drugs

A Hopkinsville man accused of stealing a lawn mower is now charged with trafficking synthetic drugs following his arrest Sunday afternoon.

Officers went to a South Vine Street location and served 34-year old Jarvis Caldwell of Hopkinsville with a warrant for misdemeanor theft, alleging he stole a lawnmower from the back yard of a home on May 29th.

Video surveillance from the theft was recently posted on the Hopkinsville Police Department Facebook page and individuals were able to identify Caldwell as the suspect.

An arrest citation says a search of Caldwell’s person during the arrest revealed several clear plastic baggies of the synthetic drug “Spice” in his pocket.

Caldwell was additionally charged with trafficking in synthetic drugs.
